One hour from Bath, The Old Rectory is the ultimate countryside escape for rest and relaxation. The expansive property which dates back to the seventeenth century, and includes Georgian and Victorian features, comprises dining rooms, sitting rooms, a terrace, beautiful gardens recognised by The Somerset Wildlife Trust as wildlife-friendly, a meadow, and an old apple orchard. There are seven bedrooms spread across the house, all uniquely designed. The guests are encouraged to make full use of the property. There are two expansive gardens, a 'wine o'clock' meadow, and a tennis court for guests to enjoy.
Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by "super host" Caroline Edwards. Guests have access to the entire property, including the gardens, which are perfect for strolling or relaxing with a good book. There are various areas for enjoyment: the reading room with a baby grand piano, the sunbathing lawn, the table in the meadow, or the woodland walk complete with pet cemetery and elf circle.
You will be encouraged to use the property to its full potential, whether to socialise with other guests (or your hosts!) or to find some seclusion in the peaceful country surroundings.
